Grown Up

When the ceiling fell down in our kitchen last night it opened a hole for the rain. I cleaned everything up while laughing. I made fun of the plaster, I filled a garbage bag with building material while the bin filled with water.

You think adulthood will be straightforward. You think you might understand things and make money so maybe everything will be a little smoother. I knew I wouldn’t have all the answers by 30 but I knew I’d have my shit together soon after.

It turns out that being able to laugh about setbacks/roadblocks/annoyances is having your shit together. The hole is the ceiling, the leaking roof, they are (forever) inevitable.
